Lauree Schreiber is #1 at Glen Burnie

Lauree Schreiber of Abingdon, MD, emerged the champion at the third event of the Women's National Duckpin Association tournament season held at Glen Burnie Bowl. Schreiber qualified in the 10th spot on Saturday with a score of 1070. She then took the top spot in her division with an outstanding 832 score and a 4-1 record. This earned her the top-spot in the up-the-ladder finals.

Tour winner Lauree Schreiber, her husband Dan, and son Trevor.Kendra Boswell, the events high qualifier with 1202 and the weekend's only 200 game of 208, was seeded 4th on the ladder. She edged out wild-card Kristy Penny in the first match. She then went on to win the next two matches against Jill Sachs and Adele Asimenios and face Lauree in the final game. It was a great competition between these two athletes, but Lauree pulled ahead to claim the win, 158-127.

This is Lauree Schreiber's third win on the pro tour and she couldn't be happier. Her mother, who was celebrating her birthday, her husband, and son were all on-hand to witness her accomplishment.

Baltimore Sun mention

The Baltimore Sun included a mention of the results at our Johnson's Lanes event in their sports section. You can view the online version by following this link.

To increase our press coverage, we have to let media outlets know that we see and support them in covering our events. The easiest way is to take a little time and drop an e-mail to the editor. You can usually find a feedback form or e-mail address on the newspaper/TV website.

New Website

We have now switched completely to our new webhost and design. The old site is still online and accessible at the address www.wndatour.info and will remain online through the end of 2010.

A few tips to help you with this new site.

1. Each event has its own section and can be accessed by simply clicking on the event title in the schedule at the left. 
2. News of each event, such as qualifying scores, final results, winners, etc. will initially be posted here on the front page in our main NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS. After the information loses its time sensitivity, it will be archived to the event page.
3. Welcome materials and entry forms, as well as final results, will always be posted in the section for the event.
4. General forms, such as membership materials, can be found in the FORMS section (see top menu).
5. We are continuing to move older material from the old site to the new, so please be patient.
6. Bowlers BIOs are coming; they are the next major feature we are working on.
7. If you use Microsoft Outlook 2007 or later, or are familiar with software call RSS Readers, you can add this site and get all of our NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENT postings automatically delivered.
8. We have setup our Facebook fan page to pull our news postings automatically. The fan page is not a substitute for the website, but is intended to reach a broader audience.
